World Bank to invest KES 100 million on Taita Taveta healthcare ICT infrastructure
H.E. Governor Andrew Mwadime and Deputy H.E. Christine Saru Kilalo have overseen an investment forum in Voi set to streamline services in the healthcare sector.
Governor Mwadime noted with confidence that the KES 100 million worth of investment to be provided by the World Bank, will produce a comprehensive ICT model that will help in managing the movement of drugs, payroll and record keeping.
IT expert Martin King’ori stated that medical practitioners would use the system dubbed Funsoft HMIS/ERP to key in patients’ vital signs, symptoms and diagnosis, ultimately ensuring patients are well served.
“ This system will add value to healthcare infrastructure swiftly and I believe that the health staff will embrace such technology to ensure seamless operations in hospitals and dispensaries,” the County Boss reiterated.
He noted that his inauguration speech that called for open doors for investors is bearing fruit as many are contacting his office to seek ways to bring solutions to the County of Taita Taveta.
