The County Executive Committee Member CECM in charge of Youth, Sports, Gender, Culture and Social Services Vumi Ringo has advised that the studio launched in December 2020 by H.E. Governor Granton Samboja should be dedicated to its initially intended purpose; youth empowerment.
Speaking during a consultative forum at Kaloleni Ward, Voi Sub County where the studio is homed, Hon Ringo said, “ The youths should benefit fully from the facility by recording content to boost their livelihoods. “
Area MCA Ahmed Omar called for the fast tracking of music recording noting that artists should start releasing their material to their audiences three weeks from now.
“ Music should be certified to take the young populace to a new level and should have sellable quality to be marketed to international and local radio stations, “ MCA Omar said.
Governor’s Political Advisor Bigvai Mwailemi asked that operations at the studio need not be politicised, while promising that the facility would experience a facelift.
In attendance were ICT Director Gibran Mwadime, Sub County Administrators Annah Mwatika- Wundanyi, Dr Seboru Sikujua- Taveta, Jesper Kisombe- Voi, Kaloleni Ward Administrator Martin Madaraka, Department Youth Officer Jaxon Shako among other senior County officials.
