Taita Taveta County Executive Committee Member for Health Services John Mwakima has called on county residents to enroll on NHIF for ease of access to affordable health care services offered by the devolved unit.
Speaking at Moi County Referral Hospital – Voi, Mwakima said the only way Mwananchi can be part of the transformative health service delivery in the county is by being in a position to access services at low cost especially in this period a Country is facing harsh economy due to COVID-19.
He, however, applauded the 10 Moi County Referral Hospital team for performing the first ever Hip replacement surgery, an operation that took 6hrs.
The resident orthopedic surgeon team was led by Dr. Mustafa.
