THE FOUR NDOVU CARE GADGET INVENTORS FETED
by MotoGovernor Granton Samboja has appreciated the four girls who invented the Ndovu care gadget for emerging winners at the National competition.
The girls won the Diamond Challenge for High School Entrepreneurs during the competition held at Maria Soti Girls School, Elgeyo Marakwet County on 17th February 2018 in the Business concept category.
They were crowned the overall winners and thus the 2018 StartUpAfrica National Pitch Competition for High School Entrepreneurs.
During his impromptu tour to Kajire Girls Secondary school this evening the governor awarded the four students, the schools principal and the ICT teacher with air tickets to and from the US where they will represent Kenya.
The total cost catered for by the governor is over 1.8m including air tickets, food and accommodation.
" I am here to ensure your journey to USA and back is successful.l urge you to put extra efforts in your studies and maintain high standards of discipline," said the governor.
The school fraternity broke into song and dance in celebration of the governors gesture.
The girls will be travelling to the United States of America from 9th to 20th April 2018 to represent Kenya at the University of Delaware from 11th to 13th April 2018 after which they will have exposure visits in the USA till 20th April 2017.
The governor is accompanied by the First Lady Mrs. Stella Samboja and Education and Libraries CEC Daniel Makoko.
